Physicians and Parents Enhancing the Health and Quality of Life for Individuals on the Autism Spectrum. This single-track event has a medical theme with presentations that will benefit parents, educators, medical professionals and social workers. Topics will include best practices in screening and diagnosis, recent advances in understanding the causes of autism, desensitization to medical procedures, medications and how to evaluate their effectiveness and a concluding panel of physicians who also are parents of children with autism.
